Intuitive Reading
This kind of reading is my absolute favorite, and my go-to when reading for myself, family, or in-person readings. If you have a question that isn’t answerable using one of the spreads that I have already listed, or you’re not sure what you need guidance on but know that you need or want some cards pulled, this type of reading is for you. I particularly like to approach intuitive readings with an open-mindedness, fluidity, and freedom that spreads don’t necessarily allow. My favorite way to start is by asking, “What’s going on with (your name or name the situation)? What do you need to know about it?” From there, it’s laying cards left and right in a formation that I’m “shown,” flipping the cards over in the order that I’m “told,” seeing the story unfold. Then, the best part: I get to enter into a dialogue with my Guides. That means, in real time, if there is anything ambiguous about a card in its context, I can pull a clarifier right then and there. I am able to dig into the “Why?”s for any of the cards. This kind of reading can start with 8 cards and easily end up being a 20 card spread.

As I said, intuitive readings are how I usually read for myself. Most times, I sit down with my cards and ask, “Is there anything that I need to know about?” Other times, a message is already waiting for me. By that I mean, my eyes keep being drawn to a certain deck throughout the day, or I’ll walk past my ancestor altar and feel a tug in my gut pulling me back. This is when I know that my Spirit Guides or Well-ancestors have something that They want to say to me. For example, the most recent time that this happened, I felt the tug and sat down. I asked, “Alright, what message do you have for me, Well-ancestors?” The cards showed that my husband is waiting to talk to me about a Thing, waiting for something that we discussed to come to fruition, and planning for the future. And I said, “Cool. I get that. But why did you need to tell me about something that I could’ve guessed?” I laid out more cards. It turns out that my husband and I are at an impasse because I made a decision but didn’t communicate it to him. So while he is waiting, I need to decide what I’m going to say to him, but also take swift actions to achieve my goals and call on aid from the Universe to help these wishes come true. Thanks to this intuitive reading, I learned that I have a small window to make moves behind the scenes until my husband brings the topic up for discussion again. “Forewarned is forearmed,” as the saying goes! If you’re feeling drawn to an intuitive reading and aren’t sure why, chances are you will benefit from guidance on a topic that hasn’t even occurred to you.
