This spread is adapted from Reid’s Tarot Spread For Anxiety. I first used this spread for anxiety, but then quickly realized that I needed it for more than that. Because I was raised in a home with people that lack emotional maturity, my emotional intelligence was at a very low level growing up. I have spent most of my adult life trying to increase my emotional intelligence. Still, when I get overwhelmed, which is often, I feel so many feelings all at once that I can’t name what I’m feeling and I get more anxiety from being overwhelmed by these feelings. Thus starts the spiral. When anxiety is my base-level feeling every day caused by anything and everything (hello, anxiety disorder), only working with anxiety wasn’t enough. I need help untangling everything else that is going on in my mind to stop the overwhelm. When I can pick apart the biggest issue, and ease my mind, everything else simmers down long enough for me to breathe. And then the next day I can do this spread for the next big issue on my mind; one by one tackling and (most importantly for me) naming what I’m feeling and why I’m feeling it. Yay, emotional maturity! Because I’ve been in the position where I’ve needed to use this spread once every night for a week just to be able to still my mind long enough to fall asleep, I will permanently be offering this spread at a reduced price, just in case there are folks like me who spiral very easily. I hope my honesty helps reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. I hope that the price reduction makes mental health care more accessible <3
